What a great start to the school year! This year in Mrs. K's class, every student has been sponsored and will be given a new book each month. We really value and love reading on Team Grizzly. Now for our updates in our core subjects...
Tuesday / 9-11
-In social studies we learned about 9-11.
We learned who planned it and how it happened.
-In reading we are reading a novel called Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of
NIMH. We are also doing questions for the book and a test at the end.
-In math class we learned about factor puzzles and for homework
we did page 6
-In science we did safety stations, but we did not finish so we
continued doing it the rest of the week.
Wednesday / 9-12
-in math class our lesson pg was ¼ and homework is page 6.
-in science we learned about lab tools. Including thermometer,
rulers, and graduated cylinder. We also did 2 other safety stations.
-in reading we continued on to the next 3 chapters with vocab also.
-in social studies we talked about what geography is. We learned it is split up into 2 parts.
Thursday / 9-13
-in reading we read chapters 7-9, and just as a recap we are reading
Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.
-in science we did a bolt reflection, which is simply a reflection of
Bolt (what did you learn), bulb (what is a good idea you came away
Away with), and lastly bump (what was hard to understand)
-in math our lesson page was 1-5 and homework was page 9.
-in social studies we had a map of Earth, and we had to make a
Colored key and label continents and oceans.
Friday / 9-14
-in science we did another station for graduated cylinder. And a
